This Masonic shekel token is from the Palestine Royal Arch Chapter No. 240 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and it is a souvenir of the 1922 semi-centennial of the chapter. The obverse identifies the chapter, has a keystone image, and, beneath the keystone, has the wordsSEMI-CENTENNIAL MAY 12, 1922
. The reverse has images typical of a Masonic shekel, is marked
STERLING
, and has the manufacturer's mark (Dieges & Clust). This sterling silver item has a
diameter of
approximately 31 mm (nearly 1-1/4").
This token is in extremely fine condition, with light actual wear, signs of handling, toning, and some soiling, and it remains bright with a very good toned silver color.
