This is a gorgeous piece of antique Rose Medallion porcelain dating to the 1800's between 1860 - 1890. It is a large mid 19th century Rose Medallion punch bowl, measuring 11 3/8" across at the top with a height of 4 3/4". The bowl is elaborately decorated inside and outside with finely painted panels depicting groups of people alternating with panels containing scenes of floral arrangements visited by birds and butterflies. Even the dividers between the panels are highly detailed with flowers and butterflies. The painting is accented by gold. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. What may appear to be rim chips are areas on the rim that are not painted so show up white. The gold painted areas are in fine condition with no wear. This antique Rose Medallion punch bowl is a stunning and exceptional piece!
