Description
This sale is for an Antique Chinese Hand-Painted Blue & WhiteQing Dynasty
Porcelain
Plate.
This white porcelain hand thrown saucer is painted with a Cobalt Blue Underglaze.
The plate is 5 1/2" in diameter and about 7/8" tall.
The rim edge has double blue lines as does the underside of the rim and the foot ring.
The foot ring is unglazed but the base is glazed.
There is an underglaze mark in blue on the base.
There is a stylized Peony Flower pattern in the center surrounded by three additional stylized Peony flowers.
Each flower is separated by arched stems with narrow scroll-like flowers.
Underneath these arches are three cloud scrolls with smaller florals.
From the best I can tell, this plate may be dated from the Late 18th century – Early 19th century Qing dynasty.
Please do your own research as I am not an expert.
This plate is in good antique condition with flaws to be expected from a handmade object. There is an area where the glaze did not meet on the edge but no chips or cracks AS SHOWN.
Please look at all of the photos as they are the best description and ask any questions BEFORE purchasing.
We will be glad to send more photos upon request.
THANK YOU for your consideration.
