    Description

Antique Chinese Porcelain bowl Guangxu to Republic Period Circa 1910
Antique Chinese Porcelain bowl Guangxu to Republic Period Circa 1910
This beautiful and very well painted Chinese porcelain bowl depicts a mother with her child riding a mythological beast and being followed by an attendant who is screening them. The ground color is yellow with a pale red border and decorated in greens and blues with various Chinese symbols entwined in convolvulus vines. There is a very small chip on the rim with a repair from which two short hairlines occur-one being about .25 in. long-the other about .75 in. long. The bowl has a nice ping to it. There are no other chips-cracks or hairlines. The bowl is signed with a six character Chien Lung mark, circa 1910. It is 9.5 in. diameter, by 1.75 in. tall. Guaranteed to be as described.
