A beautiful late 19th/ early 20th-century French gold plated jewel
ry box mounted with a medal of Madonna by the French sculptor, Sylvain Kinsburger (1855-1935). The box has beautiful and elegant decoration on the side and preserves its original fabric lining. A very finely crafted antique piece.
The medal is silver-plated bronze or silver (because of the mounting no hallmark is visible and it is not possible to test the material. )
