Bass guitar body. Thick carved curly maple top and mahogany. I started this custom body to accept the Carvin bass neck I am also selling. However, by the time I finished hand shaping the neck pocket, it 0.5 mm too big. Arrgh! and so it has sat in my workshop for three years. The single pickup rout is spot on at 1.5 " x 3.5" plus 0.2" to fit EMG 35, Lace Alumatone or similar HB. I have not routed the rear control cavity but the mahogany has a routed channel under the top for the wires just like a Les Paul. I hadn't decided if I was going to rout for active or passive electronics. I drew the shape freehand to kinda suggest a PRS since PRS doesn't actually make a solid body Bass and I didn't want an exact copy of anything. The body is a full 1 and 3/4" thick. The top was clamped and glued with Titebond 2 just like Gibson. I have been building guitars as hobby for about 50 years. I'm selling this and the Carvin neck because I have too may projects and too little time. It will of course need additional routing and finish sanding. Condition is "New".
