Description
This vintage Masonic penny token is a souvenir of the 1917 celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Chester Royal Arch Chapter No. 258 in Chester, Pennsylvania. The obverse identifies the Chapter, states the anniversary, is datedDEC. 11TH 1917
, and has a central image of a Star of David enclosing a Triple Tau. T
he reverse has
images of a chisel, maul, and 6-pointed keystone - with the words
WHATSOEVER IS RIGHT THAT SHALL YE RECEIVE
and
ONE PENNY
along the rim. The composition is copper, and the diameter is
approximately 29 mm (1-1/8").
This item is in extremely fine condition, with signs of handling, toning, and some soiling.
