    Description
    I just purchased this Chinese Porcelain covered bowl / tureen from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The bowl / tureen has a striking traditional design with hand painted tree peony, fruit and butterflies against the white ground. The borders have wide bands of tightly arranged geometric patterns flanked by panels of birds surrounded by a famille jaune ground. The bowl measures 10 1/8" in diameter and 6 ½" high. The base bears the pictured "MADE IN CHINA" red character mark. The bowl and lid are in very good condition with no damage. There are a couple pinhead production firing spots to the white bowl interior. Please check my other listings for the matching 14" platter.
