CLEVELAND OH MCKINLEY CHAPTER NO. 181 R A M MASONIC TOKEN - MARK: JR - SILVER

This very attractive vintage Masonic token (coin or penny) is from the McKinley Chapter No. 181 R. A. M. in Cleveland, Ohio - a chapter no longer listed among active chapters.  The obverse identifies the Chapter, with a bust of President William McKinley
in the center, and t
he
reverse has images of a chisel, maul, and very large ornate keystone.  The center of the keystone has a very nice, very well-done engraved brother's 'mark' - the initials
JR
inside an oval.  The composition, according to references, is sterling silver, but this has not been confirmed (therefore, not guaranteed), and the diameter is
approximately 34 mm (1-5/16").
This item is in extremely fine condition, with light wear, signs of handling, and toning, and it is bright - with a very good toned silver color.
The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description.  The 'mark' is very bold and clear.  NOTE:  The photos obviously are not clear.  The actual item has a much better toned silver color, is much brighter, has a bolder 'mark,' and is more attractive than in the photos.
