This early 1900s Masonic coin or token is from the Lincoln Park Chapter No. 177 R.A.M. in Chicago, Illinois. The obverse identifies the Chapter and has a very high-relief (three-dimensional) bust of Abraham Lincoln. The reverse provides the 1876 Chapter charter date, has the wordsONE PENNY
, and has images of a chisel, mallet, and keystone. This item
measures approximately 31 mm (nearly 1-1/4") in diameter and is composed of copper.
This item is in good condition, with wear indicating that
it obviously was carried as a treasured 'pocket piece' for many years!
