    Description

    This is a customized Iron Red Chinese Export Porcelain Covered Dish that is trimmed in gold and monogrammed.  The initials appear to be "ATJ". The dish is exquisitely decorated with leaves, foliage and flower buds. One each side the stylized initials are surrounded by flowers on each side and 2 birds underneath. A unique feature of this dish is that the interior is decorated with the same detailed pattern of flowers, leaves, and birds. The initials inside the dish have almost completely deteriorated, likely from use. There are enamel losses and other gilt losses that are consistent with age and use.
    This is a late 18th to early 19th century example based on style and quality.
    The dish measures 9.75 x 8.5 x 5. There is no damage.
