Jim Melton's Jerky Marinade Est. 1999 - Make Your Own Homemade Jerky 12 - -
***** 2 Pound (Pack of 1) size is the 32 Fl Oz size *****
Jim Melton's Jerky Marinade is an excellent ingredient for homemade jerky as well as a great grilling sauce and all-purpose marinade for burgers, steaks, poultry, fish, pork, all wild game meats and vegetables!
Since the 90s, Jim Melton has provided jerky fans with the tastiest marinade. After being distributed nationwide in the USA and Canada in the latter part of the last decade, Jim Meltons Jerky Marinade is back!
Jim Melton's versatile marinade will enhance the flavor and taste of almost any dish with a delicious hickory smoke flavor! Just remember when making jerky, the longer you marinate the better and when using as a marinade for cooking, the less amount of time you marinate the better.
    Homemade Jerky
Simply add your jerky strips to a gallon size zipper bag, pour in the marinade to cover the meat and store in the refrigerator for 12 - 24 hours (the longer the better) turning at least once. After it's done marinating drain the excess liquid (do not reuse) and place the jerky strips on dehydrator trays (or in the oven) and follow the dehydrating instructions.
    Hints:
Most all wild game makes great jerky
You can substitute ground meat in place of strips. Simply follow the same instructions above
To add even more flavor sprinkle lightly with black pepper before the dehydration process. For a spicy jerky, add hot pepper flakes instead
For a moister jerky after dehydrating, just sprinkle some cold water into the jerky storage bag and reseal
    Cooking and grilling
Marinate 30 to 60 mins. before cooking or brush on during grilling. Jim Melton's marinade is highly concentrated and does not require a long marinating time for cooking or grilling. Its terrific on all your favorite meats and vegetables.
