MANUFACTURING
The seat mat is made of different plants like birch, fern, fireweed, willow, yarrow, oak, rowan, raspberry stems, nettle, sedge, mugwort, calendula, mint, meadow-sweet, camomile, linden etc. In summer fresh herbs, plants and tree twigs are woven on a loom - a device that holds the warp threads in place while filling threads are woven through them. Then mat needs to get dry – to keep it for winter sauna season.
USAGE
Before use seat mat must be soaked in a warm water for at least an hour (just like sauna whisks). Then it can be used on sauna seat as cover – it will be gentle, leaves and flowers will not fall down and the plants will fill the sauna room with aroma from different herbs. It will also give a pleasant massage to your body. One can sit or lay on a sauna mat.
After use the seat mat must be dried very well otherwise it may start to mold. The best way to dry it is to hang it on the wall in sauna room or store it in a warm and windy place or even better - you can hang it on the wall in your house – it will be a natural air freshener for your house and will get dry quickly. To keep the mat fresh longer, it can also be stored in a freezer.
