A gorgeously hand painted Famille Rose Canton decorated covered two handled bowl. Exquisitely detailed, with wonderful color blends, especially across the feathers of the birds and the wings of the butterflies. Lovely twisted floral formed double handles, as well as a gilt fruit finial.
Presumably Antique Chinese, dating to the Tongzhi period, 19th century.

Good condition. Minor paint imperfection on the underside of the rim - please see attached images. Small area of what appears to be stabilization on the edge of the rim - please see attached images. On the underside of the rim there appears to be . Exhibits signs of age such as surface wear and weathering.
