Description
Description and Condition:This 5 inch diameter bowl or dish on a low pedestal is rarely seen. It is 2 inches high and is marked China. The mark dates this little piece to the period 1890 to 1910. Possibly a sauce or salt server? It is in generally excellent condition, but for accuracy I must mention a small chip on the inner edge of the pedestal's thick rim. This is not seen when displayed. I could not get a good photo of this chip as it must have happened so long ago that the porcelain color blends in with the rest of the thick ceramic body.

Final Comment:
This must be a rare item so don't let it get away! Please see my other antique rose medallion and celestial dragon listings. They are all from an old Seattle estate.
Please check out my other listings: antique shades, pottery and porcelains, a fine William IV tilt top tea table made with specimen woods, ABP cut glass, antique art glass, bronze and pottery. I will be listing in the next couple of months some very fine antique silver, ceramics and glass items from an advanced private collection. Also see many fine auction catalogs of Russian art and books. And take a look at the rare Andres collotype of the Courier and Ives 19th Century color lithograph of the baseball game at the Elysian Fields.
