VINTAGE NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN SOUVENIR TEEPEE
Neat vintage 1940s or 1950s souvenir hand made Birchbark teepee measuring 8-1/2" tall and 4-1/2" wide. Featuring a rolled and nailed shape, dome shape entrance is accented with hand woven detail - floor is wood and two twigs are mounted into the shape to mimic a real teepee structure. Made of tiny nail construction, it is marked MADE IN CANADA and complete with a miniature kneeling Indian wearing cloth clothing mounted within the structure.
Condition is very nice with no separation or damage -- there are a few pen marks around the top front as shown and natural wear to the exterior bark -- you can actually see the rougher bark on the teepee inside with a flashlight. Marked HAIRPIN TURN MOHAWK TAIL, this was a popular tourist destination in New York. Just a fun vintage Native American Indian souvenir item - neat addition to any collection or display!
