    Description

    This vintage Masonic coin (penny or token) is from the Uel Chapter No. 129 R. A. M. in Bonne Terre, Missouri.  The obverse identifies the chapter, with the
    words
    ONE PENNY
    in the center, and the reverse has
    images of a chisel, large keystone, and mallet.  The center of the keystone is engraved with the brother's 'mark' - the initials
    ELW
    .
    The diameter i
    s approximately 31 mm (nearly 1-1/4"), and the composition is copper.  This item was produced with a gilt surface treatment, some of which remains on both sides.
    This item is in extremely fine condition, with light wear, signs of handling, toning, and some soiling.
    The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description.  NOTE:  The actual item is lighter in color (with medium brown toning), is brighter, and is more attractive than in the photos.  The remaining gilt areas are more evident than in the photos.  The 'mark' is clear.
