Up for consideration is one of 3 bowls from an old San Francisco Estate sale. This is a bowl from approx the WW2 era. The 7 inch bowl is an extremely heavy wood of the rosewood family called Zitan.  it weighs 1 pound 7.4 ounces.  When placed in water it sinks like a stone. The condition is very good with an exception of a surface crack in the bottom of the bowl. It doesn't  go  , only the surface. It must have been a knot in the wood. . The weight is unbelievable. Very unusual. The bowls were very well taken care of.  This listing is for 1 bowl. The largest . it is 7 inches in diameter and approx 2.5  inches deep. It was never used for anything other than display.
