Up for consideration is one of 3 bowls from an old San Francisco Estate sale. This is a bowl from approx the WW2 era. The 8 inch bowl is an extremely heavy wood of the rosewood family called Zitan.  it weighs 1 pound 12 ounces.  When placed in water it sinks like a stone. The condition is very good with an exception of a tiny hairline crack near the rim. The weight is unbelievable. Very unusual. The bowls were very well taken care of.  This listing is for 1 bowl. The largest . it is 8 inches in diameter and approx 2inches deep. It was never used for anything other than display.
